Multiple people were injured in an incident on a chairlift at the Spanish ski resort of Astun on Saturday, January 18, local media reported.
A Navarra Television report citing the Government of Aragon said 17 people were seriously injured.
Footage released by the Guardia Civil shows a large crowd gathered below the stationary chairlift from the air and an emergency crew being delivered to the mountainside by a helicopter.
Aragon President Jorge Azcon said he was traveling to scene. “All necessary services are working to care for affected and injured people,” he wrote on X.
