The National Weather Service is predicting rain for the Louisville area during the coming days, beginning Friday with precipitation chances through the weekend.
According to the agency, multiple rounds of rain will roll through Kentucky regions Friday, with up to half an inch expected in some areas. The biggest precipitation chances are Saturday night into Sunday.

NWS predicts rain around Louisville in coming days
Friday
Chance of precipitation is 100% with rain likely before 1 p.m. and a drizzle up to 5 p.m. Southwest winds of around 5 to 10 mph could reach gusts as high as 24 mph with a high of 57 and low of 53. A patchy drizzle is expected before 10 p.m. and again after midnight, with mostly cloudy skies and south winds. About a quarter to a half an inch of new rainfall is expected.

Saturday
A 30% chance of precipitation is likely after 1 p.m. with mostly cloudy skies, a high near 64, and south winds of about 7 mph. Precipitation chances increase to 90% Saturday night with showers, possible storms, and new rainfall amounts between one and two inches. Low near 54.
Sunday
High near 60 with a low around 42. Chance of precipitation is 80% with west winds of 6 to 10 mph and new rainfall amounts of between a quarter and half an inch expected. Skies will be mostly cloudy with precipitation chances falling to 40%, most likely before 1 a.m.
Monday
Partly sunny with a high near 56 and low near 48. Chance of precipitation is 60% with showers likely after 1 a.m. and skies becoming cloudy.
