KC Duane Bolles, 37, of Neenah stuck a tree while riding an ATV south on Wayside Road near Pleasant Lane. Bolles was wearing a helmet but sustained fatal injuries, according to a news release from the Marinette County Sheriff’s Office.
Bolles was southbound on Wayside Road when he attempted to turn, went into a ditch and struck a tree, the sheriff’s office said.
The incident remains under investigation by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, Marinette County Sheriff’s Office and the Marinette County Medical examiner. Alcohol and speed appear to have been factors in the crash, according to the news release.
