Nielsen Streaming Top 10: ‘Bridgerton’ Remains No. 1 as Repeat Titles Dominate the Chart

There were no surprises on Nielsen’s weekly streaming rankings for May 27-June 2.

“Bridgerton” stayed on top for the third week in a row with 1.4 billion minutes watched in the second full week of availability for Season 3’s first four episodes, though the total is inclusive of both previous seasons of the show, which certainly continue to deliver strong viewership as evidenced by Netflix and Luminate’s recent charts, which separate viewership by season.

As such, the Top 10 was almost identical to last weeks. Only “Dune: Part Two” fell off of the chart — though it remained in the Top 10 streaming movies at No. 2 — and it was replaced by “Reba,” which didn’t chart last week but did the week before after being added to Netflix. And after the release of its fourth season’s second episode, “Evil” was the only streaming original besides “Bridgerton” — though it was boosted by the recent addition of its earlier seasons to Netflix. While it’s not often that the chart contains zero debuts, it has gotten harder for streaming originals and currently airing series to break through while competing with acquired titles that enjoy the benefit of massive libraries with longer running times.

“Bluey” took the No. 2 position with just above 1.2 billion minutes watched, and “Grey’s Anatomy” was at No. 3 with just under 1.2 billion. After making its debut the week before, the Jennifer Lopez movie “Atlas” was fourth-most-watched at 1.1 billion minutes. Below one billion were “Young Sheldon,” “Family Guy,” “Evil,” “NCIS,” “Reba” and “Bob’s Burger’s,” respectively.

Of note on the streaming originals chart behind “Bridgerton” and “Evil” was “Dancing for the Devil: The 7M TikTok Cult” at No. 3 with 673 million minutes watched, followed by “Eric” with 672 million. Both are Netflix titles.
