Northwest Minnesota Foundation announces Omdahl Conservation Fund recipients

Jan. 16—BEMIDJI — The Northwest Minnesota Foundation’s

Eldor and Stella Omdahl Environment and Conservation Fund recently approved four grants totaling more than $60,000 to support conservation efforts throughout Northwest Minnesota.

The Omdahl Conservation Fund is a component fund of the Northwest Minnesota Foundation that supports charitable, educational and scientific programs, projects and activities that benefit environmental and conservation causes, a release said.

The projects and programs approved for funding through the 2024 fall grant round are:

* Programming support at the Agassiz Audubon Society.

* Funding for the Mississippi Headwaters Audubon Society’s Nielsen Spearhead Center.

* Conserving the Tallgrass Aspen Parklands through The Nature Conservancy.

* White Earth Land Recovery’s Pollinator Habitat project.

“The Eldor and Stella Omdahl Fund generously supports the conservation of the Northwest Minnesota natural habitat” said Dawn Ganje, senior vice president of philanthropy at NMF, in the release. “We look forward to the work these programs will complete as they support our natural places.”
