NYPD communication tech busted for ‘tracking’ husband’s car: police

A NYPD communications technician from the Bronx was arrested on stalking charges after police learned that she put a tracker on her husband’s car to trace his movements, cops said Saturday.

Jordyn Edwards, 21, is facing stalking and harassment charges for attaching the tracker to her husband’s car, a police source said.

Cops took her into custody Friday afternoon after the device was located underneath her husband’s vehicle and police were contacted. Using a tracker on someone without their knowledge and hiding it on their property like a vehicle can be considered stalking, which is a misdemeanor.

The alleged stalking was part of an ongoing domestic dispute between the couple, cops said.

She was issued a desk appearance ticket and is expected to answer to the charges at a later date in Bronx Criminal Court.

At the NYPD, as a communications technician, Edwards answers calls to 911 and dispatches police responses, according to an online job site.
