Nov. 30—FAIRMONT — The Student of the Month program at Fairmont Senior High recognizes young men and women for their achievements in school and community life, fine arts, hobbies, athletics, church, school, club and community service, industry and farming. Their accomplishments should be recognized and praised.
Sohail Bhagat and Caroline Hamilton are the Fairmont Senior High October 2024 Students of the Month.
Daughter of Tom Hamilton and Candice Lefeber, Caroline is the 2024-25 Student Body President, president of the West Virginia Association of Student Councils for 2023-24, varsity swimming regional champion in 2022-24, member of Science Honorary, Mu Alpha Theta, and the National Honor Society, as well as W.Va. Representative at National Student Council Vision Conference in New Mexico.

While she has not selected where she will attend college, Carolina plans to major in pre-med.
Son of Jyotika and Ketan Bhagat, Sohail is a 4-year Honor Roll student, president of Science Honorary, president of the National Honor Society, vice president of Mu Alpha Theta and a participant of the West Virginia University Medicine Health Career Academy.
While he yet to select where he will attend college, Sohail plans to major in biomedical engineering or health care administration.
