ZANESVILLE − Ohio University Zanesville will have several events Nov. 18-21 to celebrate International Education Week.
In partnership with the Office of Global Affairs, the Zanesville events will reflect Ohio University’s dedication to fostering a globally aware and culturally connected community. The events include:
● Travel the World: Story time with the Zanesville Campus Library is from 10:30 to 11 a.m. Nov. 18 and 20 in the library at Herrold Hall. There will be the reading of stories, singing of songs and other activities for families. Targeted at ages 2 to 7.

● Costa Rica: A Social Worker’s Perspective will be presented from 2:30 to 3 p.m. Nov. 18 in Room W110 of Elson Hall. Leah Vensil will discuss the history of the country’s health care system, current trends in Costa Rican healthcare and social service agencies.
● International Games will be from 12:45 to 3 p.m. Nov. 19 in the atrium of Elson Hall. Sophomores in the early childhood education program will provide seven different options of international children’s game to play.
● Thankful Bodies Workshop is from 2:30 to 4 p.m. Nov. 20 at the library in Herrold Hall. The interactive workshop aims to explore the concept of gratitude through movement and dance. Participants are encouraged to express their appreciation and gratitude for their bodies, emphasizing self-acceptance and relaxation. It provides a safe and inclusive environment where all can explore creative ways of moving and connecting with their bodies. It will be led by graduate students in the community dance program. Participants will experience dances from Ghana and the Caribbean.
● The Value of Studying Abroad: Reflection on Lessons Learned in Belize is from 1:15 to 2 p.m. Nov. 21 in the education resource center at Herrold Hall. The sessions will provide an overview of an OU study abroad trip to Belize in June. There will be a question and answer session after the presentation.
