Press Secretary to the Russian President Dmitri Peskov said earlier that on Wednesday Putin was working in the Kremlin: he had working meetings, an operational meeting with permanent members of the Security Council and preparations for the BRICS summit [BRICS is the acronym coined to associate five major emerging economies: Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa], which will be held by video conference on 23-24 June.

Peskov has not disclosed the topics for discussion at the Security Council.

The meeting is being held while active hostilities are taking place in Ukraine and amid rising tensions around the Baltic states.
