Olympics 2024 medal table and latest count today

Team GB remain fifth in the Olympics medal table on Day 14 of the Paris Games, having added to their gold-medal tally.

Toby Roberts made it 14 golds for Great Britain at these Games, the 19-year-old taking victory in the men’s boulder and lead sport climbing event in dramatic fashion.

Ellie Aldridge was crowned Olympic champion after victory in the women’s kite surfing final on Thursday, bringing up Great Britain’s 50th medal of the Games before Emma Finucane made it 51 with a bronze in the keirin final.

There will be no return to the top of the podium for Jade Jones, after she fell to a shock first-round defeat to end her hopes of taekwondo glory. Jack Laugher also missed out on a medal in the men’s 3m springboard final.

The USA have ousted China atop the medal table with both on 33 golds. Australia are third with Japan having leaped above both Britain and France into fourth, and just a single bronze is the difference between fifth and sixth.

Here are the latest medal standings for the Paris Olympics…

How the medal table works

The medal table is ranked by gold medals, rather than overall medal count.

Silver and then bronze medals are used as tiebreakers if two countries are level on the same number of golds. Then alphabetical order comes into play.
