El Paso police detectives are investigating a fatal shooting at a Northeast apartment complex that left one person dead, a police spokesman said.

The shooting took place about 11:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, at the North Mountain Village Apartments, 9435 Diana Drive near Dyer Street, Officer Adrian Cisneros, a police spokesman, said.

A male was transported to a hospital where he died, Cisneros said. The person’s age and identity were not immediately released pending notification of family.
An investigation by homicide detectives with the Crimes Against Persons Unit continued on Sunday. There had been no arrests.
Shooting in Central El Paso
El Paso police are also investigating another shooting that took place early Sunday in the Central area.
The nonlethal shooting took place about 4 a.m. Sunday in the 1600 block of Rio Grande Avenue. Further details were not immediately available.
