Fans of Our Yorkshire Farm were taken aback by Miles Owen’s mature appearance as he joined his brothers Reuben and Sid for a new TV series.
The one-off special, Reuben Owen: Christmas in the Dales, will air on Wednesday and will also feature Reuben’s younger brothers, Sid and Miles, along with their best mate, Tommy.
The episode’s synopsis reveals: “With Christmas approaching, Reuben Owen plans a festive party for friends and family at their local to thank them for all their help with his heavy plant machinery business.
“Before the planning begins, he and his good friend Tommy ride Reuben’s early Christmas present, a snowmobile, through a sheep-filled field. Plus, the pair head to do some end-of-year work in a mining town in Sweden’s arctic circle,” reports Leeds Live.
However, a fan shared a series of promotional photos from the programme on a Facebook fan page, which sparked a flurry of comments.

While many expressed excitement about the new programme, others couldn’t help but notice how “different” Reuben looked and how “grown up” Miles was.
One wrote: “Reuben looks so different when he is out of work gear. Three lovely brothers and work so well together.”
“He really does, doesn’t he? ” another agreed while a third added: “Love seeing Reuben as he matures and with his lovely friendship with Tommy. Missed their input in the recent show.”
“Wow, Miles has shot up,” one commented before adding: “He and Edith are like twins.”
Someone else penned: “Can’t wait, lovely to see them all back together.”
An enthusiast shared: “Absolutely wonderful, we will be tuning in. Reuben is a very hardworking young man, he has an amazing work ethos just like his parents. Miles is as tall as Reuben now, all grown up.”
Recently, Reuben featured alongside his whole family, including his well-known parents, Amanda and Clive Owen, in a new Channel 4 series.
The programme, Our Farm Next Door: Amanda Clive and Kids, which is set to return next year, showcased the Owens taking on the restoration of the farmhouse Anty John’s.
In the series, Amanda divulged her hopes for the renovation project and expressed a desire that some of her children might one day leave the family abode at Ravenseat Farm for the newly done-up residence. Meanwhile, Reuben revealed his eagerness to move out from the family home sooner rather than later.
He confessed to the camera: “Other than Ravenseat, it is probably one of the only places I’d consider living happily.”
Reuben Owen: Christmas in the Dales airs on Wednesday at 9pm on Channel 5.
