The Ministry of Science and Technology has decided to make inoperable ventilators of public and private hospitals due to increasing cases of coronavirus in the country says Fawad Chaudhry.
Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry said in his statement that more than 1000 ventilators were not functional, so it was decided to make use of defective ventilators in the public and private hospitals of the country for the use of corona patients.
“If the private hospital’s ventilator is bad, we will enable it free of charge, provided the coroner in the private hospital provides the facility free,” Chaudhry said.
He said that the engineering firms in Pakistan have enabled about 150 bad ventilators so far, glad that young Pakistani engineers stand at a difficult time.
The Federal Minister said that with the repair of damaged ventilators, a technical training facility will also be provided to the hospitals.
Fawad Chaudhry said that the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) has completed legal proceedings for the move. The licensing process will start soon before manufacturing.
The Minister of Science and Technology said that it is happy that Pakistan is going to make its ventilators and testing kits today.
Fawad Chaudhry expressed his best wishes and said that we would defeat Corona together, Insha Allah would be leading the countries in defeating Corona.
