Palestinian sources report more deaths in Gaza Strip attacks

Several people were killed in Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip on Friday, according to Palestinian reports.

At least seven people were killed when the Israeli military hit a group of people in Al-Bureij in the centre of the coastal strip, a spokesman for the Hamas-controlled civil defence said. Several other people were injured. More details about the incident were not initially available.

The Israeli military did not comment on the report when asked.

Meanwhile, the Palestinian news agency WAFA reported further deadly attacks in the Gaza Strip. At least 15 Palestinians have been killed in attacks since this morning, the report said, citing the Hamas-controlled health authority. It does not distinguish between fighters and civilians in its figures.

The information from both sides cannot be independently verified. The Gaza war was triggered by the Hamas-led October 7 attacks on Israel, when some 1,200 people were killed and another 250 were abducted and taken to the Gaza Strip.
