They say that you always know when you’ve met ‘The One’ – and for Pink Floyd star Roger Waters, the time has finally come as he celebrated his fifth marriage.
The 78-year-old rocker has tied-the-knot with Kamilah Chavis at a ceremony at his Bridgehampton estate in New York.
The bride and groom looked absolutely besotted as they posed for photographs after swapping vows – with both looking stylish in their wedding day finest.
Roger sported a sharp suit, white shirt – without a tie – and had a delicate flower attached to his suit pocket.
While the new Mrs Waters stunned in a lace dress with a thick belt wrapped around her waist – and with gold jewellery dripping around her neck.
Taking to social media on Tuesday, Roger revealed he was on cloud nine to have married for the fifth time – and hinted that this was the romance he had been waiting a lifetime for.
Sharing a string of snaps via Twitter he wrote: “I’m so happy, finally a keeper.”
Photos showed Roger and Kamilah gazing lovingly into each others’ eyes, posing on a beach-side walkway, and passionately locking lips as they celebrated their marriage.
While another photograph showed the couple smiling as they prepared to cut their wedding cake together.
Roger previously opened up about his relationship with Kamilah which has been kept largely out of the public eye.
He told Infobae in 2018: “We are not married, but we have been together for a couple of years. I met her at one of my concerts a couple of years ago. She worked in transportation. She was driving the car that was taking me.”
He went on: “I was in one place for two weeks and there were many transfers between the hotel and the stadium.
“My custodian sat in the front with her and they talked, while I stayed in the back. Something about her attracted me.”
He added: “One day I said ‘excuse me, did someone ever tell you that you have beautiful cheekbones?’”
News emerged earlier this year that the pair were planning to marry when Roger was overheard telling friend Kamilah as his “fiancée” during a party.
Roger was first married back in 1969 when he married childhood sweetheart Judith Trim, who worked as a successful potter.
The pair divorced in 1975 – and Judith passed away in 2001 following a breast cancer battle aged 57.
Roger’s second wife was Lady Carolyne Christie, the niece of the 3rd Marquess of Zetland, who he married in 1976 and shares a son named Harry, 44, and a daughter named India.
Roger and Lady Christie divorced in 1992 – with the rock star going on to marry Priscilla Phillips in 1993 – with whom he shares a son named Jack.
Roger and Priscilla divorced in 2001 – and then in 2004, Roger became engaged to actress Laurie Durning who he went on to marry in 2012 and then divorce in 2015.
