Two men have been rushed to hospital after they were attacked near a fishing pond close to woodland, police said today.
Police chiefs have now issued an urgent appeal for information.
The men, both believed to be aged in their 20s, suffered injuries and remained in hospital on Monday night, police said. The extent of their injuries are not yet known.

The men had been assaulted close to a fishing pond, near Nutgrove Hall Drive in Thatto Heath, St Helens, Merseyside, at around 1.30pm on Monday (July 15).
Merseyside Police launched an appeal for information following the attack and cordoned off the scene. The men, believed to be in their 20s, suffered injuries and remain in hospital. The extent of their injuries are not yet known, reports The Echo.
Following the attack two male suspects were seen running towards Elephant Lane. Pictures from the scene showed a large number of police vehicles and also an ambulance, with police tape stretching across the entrance to the wooded area and fishponds. No arrests have currently been made and the cordon has now been removed.
Police say CCTV and witness enquiries are being carried out, and the force is appealing for anyone with information or who witnessed the incident to come forward.
