Nov. 24—ROCHESTER — Investigators have confirmed the identity of the man shot and killed in Southeast Rochester Thursday evening.
Dahir Dahir, 28, was pronounced dead at the scene of a shooting Thursday, Nov. 21, according to information from the Southern Minnesota Regional Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed by the Rochester Police Department.
Police responded to a reported shooting at about 6:50 p.m. near 10th Street Southeast and First Avenue Southeast. First responders performed life saving measures on Dahir but he was pronounced dead at the scene, Police said Thursday. As of Sunday, Police have not reported any names of suspects nor announced that anyone is in custody in the incident. Police said Thursday the shooting did not “appear to be random.”
The shooting death was the fourth homicide in Rochester this year.
