Police hunt for couple who bashed bus rider with broken bottle in Queens

A callous couple attacked a 37-year-old man on a Queens bus, repeatedly bashing their victim in the head with a glass bottle, police said Saturday.

The victim was on the Q53 bus rolling past the corner of 101st Ave. and Woodhaven Blvd. in Ozone Park at about 1:30 p.m. on July 7 when the three got into an argument, cops said.

Police did not immediately disclose what the fight was about.

As the argument heated up, the couple hit their victim with a glass bottle, smashing it over his head.

They continued to hit their victim with the broken bottle, leaving him with deep cuts to his head and face before disembarking the bus.

EMS rushed the victim to Jamaica Hospital, where he was treated and released.

Investigators recovered surveillance footage that shows the couple walking down the street near where the attack occurred.

Cops released the images on Saturday in the hopes someone recognizes the couple.

Anyone with information regarding their whereabouts is urged to call NYPD Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
