CHESAPEAKE — Police have identified a man whose body was found at the Dismal Swamp Canal Trail last week.
Around 12:45 p.m. Dec. 15, police were called to 1200 George Washington Highway South for a body found in the water along the shoreline of the park entrance, according to a release.
Chesapeake Police Underwater Search and Rescue Team found 32-year-old Donte’y Christian Parrish, of Hampton, with gunshot wounds, according to police.
The investigation is ongoing and no other information has been released.
