Dec. 26—A 36-year-old Bristol man was arrested by Elkhart County deputies on charges of domestic battery, strangulation, burglary, criminal mischief and invasion of privacy at 4:34 p.m. Tuesday.
According to police, the man entered a 34-year-old woman’s apartment in the 58000 block of Vista Boulevard, Elkhart, battered and strangled her, violated a protection order and damaged a door to her apartment. He was taken to the Elkhart County Jail.

A 24-year-old Warsaw woman was arrested by Goshen police at 9:31 p.m. Wednesday in the 1000 block of Elkhart Road after being stopped for traffic infractions, a report from Goshen police reads. The woman was arrested on charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, OWI-endangerment and domestic battery. She was taken to the Elkhart County Jail.
THEFTS
—Two Goshen men, ages 19 and 20, reported to Goshen police at 8:20 p.m. Wednesday their clothing was stolen from a dryer at Lightning Clean Laundry, 202 Johnston St.
—A 62-year-old rural Goshen man reported to Elkhart County deputies at 11:42 a.m. Dec. 19 that a theft occurred at his home in the 53000 block of C.R. 131 between 11 p.m. Dec. 17 and Dec. 18. Stolen items included a vacuum, carpet cleaner, four Tonka toy trucks, a Black & Decker 20-volt screw gun, a toolbox containing sockets and wrenches, and a yellow propane heater.

—A 43-year-old New Paris woman reported to Elkhart County deputies that at about 11 a.m. Dec. 19 someone stole her dog from her property in the 17000 block of U.S. 6 and turned it in at the Humane Society of Elkhart County.
—A white 2025 Forest River Sabre 5th-wheel RV, valued at $68,000, was stolen from Liberty RV in the 29000 block of C.R. 56, Nappanee, according to a report from the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office. The RV was equipped with a GPS tracker and was traced to a location in Tampa, Florida.
BATTERY
A 32-year-old woman employed at Bashor Homes, 62226 C.R. 15, Goshen, reported to Elkhart County deputies at 9:47 a.m. Tuesday that a boy damaged two employees’ windshields on their vehicles and assaulted a female employee by grabbing her by the hair and pulling her to the ground.

A window was broken on a home in the 1000 block of South 15th Street at 3:17 a.m. Thursday, according to a report from Goshen police.
UNAUTHORIZED ENTRY
A 38-year-old woman reported to Elkhart County deputies at 5:13 a.m. Saturday three or four people she did not know entered her truck without her permission while it was parked in a driveway in the 58000 block of Jefferson Ridge Drive, Goshen.
