Kyle Clifford, the suspect in the crossbow killings of three women, served in the Army but dropped out and became a security guard, it has emerged.
The 26-year-old joined the Queen’s Dragoon Guards in 2019, but despite passing out, quit three years later after struggling to adapt to the disciplined lifestyle.
He took a number of low-paid jobs and eventually found work as a security guard in north London.
Life sentence
One of three children, his older brother Bradley is currently serving a life sentence after murdering a moped rider who damaged his car.
Six years ago, when Bradley was 23-years-old, he chased and deliberately mowed down Soban Khan, 18, and Jahshua Francis, 19, after they threw a bottle at his Ford Mustang following an altercation outside a bar in Enfield.
Both men were thrown into the air by the collision, and Mr Khan was then beaten by Clifford as he lay on the ground fatally injured.
Jailed for life
He denied murder and GBH with intent but following a trial at the Old Bailey the plumber was found guilty and jailed for life, with a judge telling him he would have to serve a minimum of 23 years before he would become eligible to apply for parole.
Neighbours described Kyle as “pretty normal” and unremarkable and said he had never shown any violent tendencies..
He went to school in Enfield and then returned to the area after leaving the Army, with locals saying that he was quiet but popular within the estate where he and his family lived.
It is understood he had been in a relationship with Louise Hunt but the pair had recently broken up.
