A Conservative MP has reportedly been arrested following an allegation of rape.
The parliamentarian was interviewed by police in relation to the claim on Wednesday, according to reports.
He was also said to have been questioned on suspicion of possessing controlled substances.
It was reported the allegations do not relate to a separate Tory MP, who is currently on bail in relation to sexual assault claims that he denies.
A Surrey Police spokesman said: “We can confirm a man was arrested yesterday morning [Oct 25] on suspicion of rape and possession of controlled substances.
“He has been released on conditional police bail pending further enquiries.”
