Rand Paul talks about government spending and ending Selective Service in interview

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – U.S. Senator Rand Paul spoke with Eyewitness News on Thursday about what he hopes to accomplish while serving as Chairman of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee.

Senator Paul says he hopes the new administration will be able to cut down on government spending. Paul says he is currently compiling his annual “Festivus” document, to air his grievances over government spending.

During his interview, Senator Paul also discussed a bill he introduced earlier this year to end the Selective Service program and his thoughts on recent reports released about the origins of COVID-19.
