PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — The remains of an Oregon woman, missing since early April, were found Saturday by volunteer searchers in Harney County.
Kaylee Birt, who was traveling from Klamath Falls to Iowa, was last seen April 4, the Harney County Sheriff’s Office said.

On that day, she was spotted leaving The Fields Station in Fields, Oregon. Her car was found two days later in a remote part of southern Harney County.
A search for her was launched immediately but was suspended April 11. At the time, authorities said cougars had been seen in the search area.
Harney County officials said Birt’s remains were found Saturday, but did not provide any other details. She was 29.
