Israeli police and the domestic intelligence service Shin Bet have detained three individuals suspected of firing flares at the private residence of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, local media reported on Sunday.
A court ordered the suspects be held in detention for five days pending the ongoing investigation into Saturday’s incident, the Times of Israel and ynet reported.
The suspects were described as senior members of the anti-government protest movement.

Netanyahu and his family were not at home and no damage was caused to the residence in the town of Caesarea.
Critics accuse the prime minister of failing to personally take responsibility for the political and military mistakes on October 7, 2023, when Hamas fighters flooded across the border from Gaza in a coordinated attack.
Netanyahu has also been facing a long-running corruption trial, and critics say he is prolonging the wars in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon to remain in office.
