Rescue crew pulls woman from Los Angeles tunnel

The show must go on. Jay Leno took the stage for a recent comedy set just hours after a nasty fall. The TV icon sported an eye patch, arm brace and a bruise covering half his face while stepping out in Beverly Hills two nights later, telling multiple outlets including Inside Edition on Nov. 18 that he’d hit multiple rocks while tumbling down a 60-foot hill. Jay explained that he’d slipped while trying to walk to a restaurant near his hotel and waited to seek medical attention until he’d returned to Los Angeles after his performance. The 74-year-old also confirmed he’d fractured his wrist and lost a fingernail in the fall. The incident comes after Jay suffered third-degree burns in a car fire at his garage in November 2022. Two months later, he also broke his collarbone, ribs and kneecaps in a motorcycle crash. Despite facing several harrowing accidents in recent years, the comedian maintains his signature sense of humor about the situation. “The great thing about this age [is] you don’t learn by your mistakes, you just keep doing the same stupid thing,” he quipped to TMZ.
