Rising Star: Matthew Melamed Shapes the Indie Folk/Pop Genre

Matthew Melamed is a rising star in the indie folk/pop genre, capturing the hearts of fans with his unique sound and style. In 2013, Matthew Melamed composed his debut single ‘Oh’, a song he later released in 2019 with music producer Ran Nir (The Mojos, Asaf Avidan) after being signed to his label, IMU-Music. This song marked his breakthrough as a musician, as it was used as the theme song for the film ‘Pre-Boarding’ which won the ‘Best Short Film’ award at the 2014 Nevada Film Festival in the US.

As an entrepreneur, multi-instrumentalist, producer, and singer/songwriter, Matthew Melamed has traveled extensively throughout his career, living in countries such as Canada, Bulgaria, South Africa, and Germany. These experiences have shaped his sound and style, and he continues to push himself to new heights with each new project.
