Sam Thompson told fans he was ‘coming clean’ after previously sparking comments about his appearance – but all wasn’t as it seemed.
Earlier this year, the podcast host and presenter revealed how he’d undergone a salmon-sperm facial which is described as a unique skincare treatment that involves the injection of polynucleotides derived from salmon milt (fish semen).
However, I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here 2023 winner Sam was later forced to admit the truth after he and his best pal Pete Wicks were flooded with messages about Sam’s changed look on their Staying Relevant podcast posts on social media.

He confessed: “Zara made me get botox,” leaving Pete with his jaw on the floor. Sam explained: “I was on the chair to get salmon sperm…. I won’t be doing it again, let’s leave it there.”
Now, Sam has poked fun at changing his appearance with a new comical social media video. In the clip posted to Instagram, the 32-year-old can be seen close-up to the camera as he checked out the appearance of his face.
A caption across the clip read: “Coming clean about the work I’ve had done: Before…” The video’s caption then changed to say: “After.” to which Sam looked no different, before he turned around and had stuffed the back of his trousers to make his bum look bigger as he walked away from the camera.
Captioning the post, Sam wrote: “People asking me if I’ve had work done and It’s time to come clean….im happy with the results.” It comes after the This Morning star told how he spent his Christmas Day a bit differently this year as his girlfriend Zara McDermott visited her family and his sister Louise headed to her in-laws.

Alongside pictures on Instagram he explained: “Bit of a different Christmas this year. I got put in touch with a charity. The camila batmanghelidjh foundation to be exact. They were struggling this year after the sad passing of camila, and I was lucky enough to get the call up to deliver gifts across London to possibly the nicest, most selfless bunch of people I’ve ever met.
“What could have been another standard Christmas has turned out to be one that I’ll never forget! Thank you everyone that let me into your homes, and to be honest I think there’s no doubt I’ll be back next year if you’ll have me! Here’s to all of the people who are there for others year round. You are superhero’s!!! (and thank you to my co-pilot the camera shy JLS loving Ali) you’re one of a kind my man!”
Zara was quick to respond, writing in the comments: “So proud of you, it’s so lovely that you chose to give up your Christmas Day to help others,” while Louise said: “Well done Dudeth!!!!!!! I know a Sam T walking through the door would have lit up so many people’s day!” Pete also added: “My man. Proud of you mate.”
