Oct. 25—Santa Fe police responded to a carjacking Wednesday night that ended in a crash near Youth Shelters and Family Services on Agua Fría Street, Deputy Chief Ben Valdez said.

There were no injuries from the crash, Valdez said. He did not confirm whether anyone was arrested.

“There was a vehicle taken by force,” he said. “Officers located the vehicle and attempted to apprehend the suspect.”

Valdez declined to provide more information, citing an active police investigation.

There was still police activity at the scene Wednesday evening near Agua Fría Street and San Felipe Road, he said, adding said people should avoid the area at that time.
