Karachi: Police, Rangers, and civil administration have begun sealing areas affected by the global outbreak of the coronavirus. People are being restricted to homes by putting containers and barriers in the area.

A list of affected areas of the East District has been prepared. The affected areas will be closed and strictly implemented.

Some of the streets of Dalmia were sealed early morning.

All the roads around Dalmia are closed too.

Rashid Minhas Road was sealed at Millennium.

The road to the National Stadium was also closed.

Different roads of Gulzar Hijri and Gulshan Iqbal were also closed.

All lanes of different blocks of Gulistan-e-Jauhar are sealed with trucks and containers.

Wrestling routes and incoming routes have also been completely sealed.

Different areas of the affected district were identified to control the Corona epidemic. Barriers have been set up where the Union Councils are to be sealed. Residents of the area have been instructed by the administration and law enforcement agencies to stay in their homes. Police, Rangers, and traffic police are deployed on different roads.

It may be recalled that because of the global outbreak of the Coronavirus, there is a series of police actions against the citizens of Lockdown in Sindh province.

On Sunday, April 11, a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah had decided to seal some areas in the south of the district. On April 11, the Sindh government withdrew its decision to seal the 11 yokes by Deputy Commissioner Sharqi.

Residents of that area are in a panic situation they are saying we went to purchase groceries but when we came we were told by law enforcement agencies that your area is sealed and you can’t go to your home. Residents requested to Sindh Government to let us go to our homes.

The sudden news of sealing some areas has also caused doctors and other medical staff to suffer Gulshan Iqbal’s doctors, para-medical staff forced to stay confined to homes.

In this regard, Information Minister Sindh Nasir Hussain Shah said that it would be inconvenient for the public to seal such large areas, which would only be sealed in the streets in which the cases would appear.
