No one has been arrested so far in the early Saturday shooting death of a man in southwest Marion County.
According to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, about 3 a.m. Saturday deputies went to the 1200 block of Southwest Shorewood Drive in the Rainbow Lakes Estate subdivision in reference to a shooting.
Once on scene, deputies found a man dead from a gunshot wound. Sheriff’s detectives were called to investigate.

Saturday night, officials released the victim’s name. He has been identified as Jeffery Robbins, 41, of Citrus County. Robbins would have turned 42 on Tuesday.
Authorities did not release any other information, including how many times the man was shot, or a possible motive. They did say those connected to the incident are being interviewed and their investigation is ongoing.
