On July 9, 2024, a LATAM Airlines Boeing 777 scraped the runway during takeoff from Milan, Italy, en route to Sao Paulo, Brazil. CCTV captured sparks and smoke as the plane’s tail scraped the ground. Authorities are investigating the incident, attributed to a possible pilot error.
