It appears the last launch of a record-shattering year on Florida’s Space Coast will lift off overnight!
SpaceX is targeting 12 a.m. EST Monday to launch a Falcon 9 rocket on another Starlink mission from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center. Backup launch opportunities are available until 3:28 a.m., if needed.
The Falcon 9 will deploy a batch of Starlink internet-beaming satellites. No Central Florida sonic booms are expected. After soaring skyward from pad 39A along a southeasterly trajectory, the rocket’s first-stage booster will target landing aboard a SpaceX drone ship out at sea 8 minutes, 16 seconds after liftoff.
