PAINTED POST, N.Y. (WETM) — A new expansion to the Corning Children’s Center is set to open in September and will give more families in the Corning area access to childcare.
According to a release from the Corning Children’s Center, the new expansion at Corning Children’s Center West at 111 Canada Road in Painted Post is planned to open on Sept. 4.
The new expansion has significant renovations and upgrades to the facility, with the opening happening after the building occupancy approval and subsequent state licensing approval.

According to Executive Director, Paula Detar, this expansion will help give nearly 150 children and their families quality child care.
“We’re happy this new location will help us better serve the childcare needs within the region and offer a high standard of care in line with our values,” Deter said.
The release states that families currently on the waitlist will be contacted in the coming weeks by the Family Engagement Coordinator to talk about enrollment at the new West location.
