Stocks largely moved sideways in afternoon trading Thursday, with all three major indexes little changed.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average was flat, while the S&P 500 ticked down 0.1%, and Nasdaq Composite edged 0.1% lower.
It’s worth noting that trading volumes were quieter than usual Thursday as the stock market reopened following the Christmas Day break.
