Teens arrested after police make shocking discovery inside ‘suspicious’ car

Police have arrested two teenagers after they stopped a ‘suspicious’ looking car in the Black Country. Officers discovered a zombie knife inside the vehicle as well as cannabis and scales.

They arrested two men, both aged 19, following the bust in Palfrey, Walsall, just before 7.20pm on Tuesday, May 14. The men were detained on suspicion of possession of a knife and possessing Class B drugs.

It comes as West Midlands Police continue Project Guardian which aims to reduce knife crime in the area. A spokesperson for the force said: “We have arrested two men and recovered a zombie knife and drugs after a vehicle was searched in Walsall.

“Officers from our Project Guardian team were on patrol in Palfrey shortly before 7.20pm yesterday (Tues) when they came a across a suspicious car. We searched the vehicle and recovered a knife, cannabis and scales.

“We arrested two men, both aged 19, and they were taken into custody on suspicion of possession of a knife and possessing Class B drugs. Project Guardian officers are a team which aims to reduce violent crime, with a focus on reducing knife crime in young people.

“The Western team which covers Walsall, Dudley, Sandwell and Wolverhampton aims to tackle knife crime and youth violence through enforcement and education. They carry our regular patrols concentrating on knife crime hotspots.”
