Ten people, including five children, have been rescued from a house following a landslide. As Storm Bert continues to batter all of Wales the landslide took place in north Wales.
They were rescued from a house in Llanarmon Dyffryn Ceiriog, near Llangollen. A North Wales Fire and Rescue Services spokesman said they were being assessed by ambulance services away from the scene “somewhere warm”.
A further landslide was reported in the area but it is understood no one else was affected. Storm Bert has caused many travel delays and disruption across Wales, you can keep up with the latest in our travel blog, here.

There are also now 42 flood alerts across Wales, which you can read about here, and earlier today North Wales Police shared this statement. They said: “Following showery spells of rain and sleet across many parts of North Wales [Friday], large amounts of surface water has been reported across some of the region’s roads.
“And with Storm Bert bringing substantial rainfall and perhaps more snow to North Wales [Saturday], as well as a yellow weather warning for high winds for most of the region, dangerous conditions are expected on the roads.
“As a result, we are advising motorists to take extra care when out travelling and would advise considering waiting until the weather eases before getting in your vehicle.
“If you must travel, we advise driving slowly to avoid losing control on wet and slippery surfaces to increase reaction time, while maintaining a greater distance between you and the car in front.
“There is also the potential for a large amount of snow on higher ground [Friday night], which could cause weather conditions in the Clwydian Range and Eryri to become extremely treacherous.
“Please keep up to date with the weather via the Met Office and the latest information on some of the roads.” For the latest Welsh news delivered to your inbox sign up to our newsletter.
