Texas Fire Burning ‘Mountain’ of Dirt and Tires Could Last Days

Dark plumes of smoke could be seen from miles away as a fire broke out at a Fort Worth, Texas, recycling facility on April 13.

A spokesman for the Fort Worth Fire Department told local media wind pushed the fire “into a mountain of dirt and tires at Silver Creek Materials” and that the blaze could last several days.

One firefighter was take to hospital with a minor hand injury.
