The Florida Department of Education on Wednesday released school grades and school district grades for 2024. The Marion County school district received a C, down from the B it received in 2023. Five individual schools received A grades, and one got an F.

More about school district grades
From 2010 to 2024, the Marion County district has received seven C grades and six B grades, according to state figures.
The Alachua County school district received a B, same as last year. From 2010 through 2024, it has received two C grades, and the rest A or B.
Citrus County received a B, same as last year. For the past 10 years, Citrus has received one C and the rest A’s or B’s.
Lake County received a B, same as 2023. From 2010 through 2022, Lake got three C’s and the rest B’s.
