The Nasdaq Turned Higher. Market Breadth Is Terrible.

The Nasdaq Composite turned higher shortly after the market opened, but the slight gains were driven by Big Tech and not much else.

The tech-heavy index was up 0.1% after opening lower. The Dow was down 131 points, or 0.3%. The S&P 500 was flat.

Roughly 383 S&P 500 stocks were trading lower on the day. The Invesco S&P 500 Equal Weight ETF, a proxy for market breadth, was down 0.6%.
