This Morning’s Alison Hammond stops guest as they start to ‘strip’ on air

This Morning’s Alison Hammond was left red-faced during Friday’s show as one guest started to strip in the studio. It comes as the ITV hosts were discussing whether or not strippers are a thing of the past.

Dermot O’Leary informed viewers that it’s recently been reported that hen-do party entertainers are starting to lose their appeal. Alison commented: “According to new party organisers, male strippers are being ditched for escape rooms and axe throwing.”

To speak about this more, they brought on one man who has been stripping for over 35 years, who believes stripping is far from over. Welcoming him into the show, Mike Stratton appeared dressed as a sailor captain before starting to undress.

While Rod Stewart’s song, Da Ya Think I’m Sexy?, started to play, Mike took off his top while Alison yelled: “Yes, Mike!” As she complimented his acting, he asked for her help taking off his top.

However, when he moved onto the trousers, she commented: “No, he’s not going that far, this is a daytime TV show!”

Stopping him before he got fully undressed, Mike gave a joking look of disapproval before they moved onto the sofa.

Speaking about his career to the two ITV stars, Mike revealed he started back when he was 18 years old. Shocked, Alison replied: “You was only a baby!”

Dermot asked: “It’s what people want for an event, right? Have you found that it’s dropping off at all in your business?”

Mike replied: “It’s changed. Back in the day, there were lots of groups who toured the country. These days, the groups tend to stay in the same place.”

Although he told the duo there is still plenty of solo work in his profession, along with new avenues such as butler in the buff services. However, he recalled one incident in his career which resulted in him going to hospital.

He said: “This was in South Wales, it was in a show and we all do a walk around, get a bit of oil rubbed on your chest and stuff, say hello. I felt hands on my hips from behind.

“I thought, ‘Oh she wants to do a conga!’ No she didn’t want to do a conga. This girl gripped me and bit. It felt like somebody was stabbing me.”

Mikle revealed he had blood running down his leg after taking a bite. He added: “I had to go to hospital and have a tetanus jab.”

Sharing that he’s still got the scar from the incident, Alison replied:”She probably got nervous and got a bit too excited. I don’t know, it’s weird, isn’t it!”
