A tree fell on a University of Oregon student near University Hall on Monday, leaving the student with injuries.
Eugene Springfield Fire responded to the scene, receiving the call around 11 a.m. According to UO, the student was transported to a local hospital by 11:30 a.m. UO was unable to confirm the severity of the student’s injuries.
The area where the student was struck appeared to be part of a detour area set up because of nearby construction. University Hall and the nearby Villard Hall have been part of a large-scale renovation project.
