Two men were shot, one fatally, just after midnight Saturday at Belmont Harbor in Lakeview, Chicago police said.
The two men, both 22, were standing in a parking area in the 3500 block of N. Belmont Harbor Drive at approximately 12:40 a.m. when shots were fired at them from a dark-colored SUV, according to police.
One man was shot in the head and was pronounced dead on the scene, police said. The other, who was shot in the left arm and the chest, was transported by the Chicago Fire Department to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in critical condition, police said.
No one is in custody. Detectives are investigating the incident.
