Two air ambulances land near scene of multi-vehicle crash

Two air ambulances have landed near the scene of a multi-vehicle crash involving a lorry, van, car and minibus. It has happened in Chester Road, Hawarden, Flintshire.

Shortly before 8.40am on Tuesday police were called to a report of a four-vehicle road traffic collision. Teams from North Wales Fire and Rescue Service, the Welsh Ambulance Service, and the air ambulance were all called to the scene.

A North Wales Police statement said: “Following a road traffic collision on Chester Road, Hawarden – between turnings for Rake Lane and Station Road, Sandycroft – the road is currently shut and will be for a while.

A lorry, van, car and minibus involved were involved in the crash with the road still closed at lunchtime, police confirmed.
