Two men are dead after an alleged double homicide outside a Little Caesars pizza franchise in south Kansas City, the fourth murder and third fatal shooting reported at the restaurant since October 25.
Kansas City police officers responded to the plaza at the 8700 block of Blue Ridge Boulevard around 7:30 p.m. Thursday, according to Sgt. Phil DiMartino, a Kansas City Police Department spokesperson.
In the Little Caesars parking lot, responding officers found two adult men with gunshot wounds, DiMartino said. Both were pronounced deceased at the scene. The victims have not yet been publicly identified.

Police believe that an argument or altercation between several people in the parking lot led to the alleged double homicide, DiMartino said. No suspects were publicly identified on Thursday.
Four people have been fatally shot in the past ten weeks in the plaza at 8700 Blue Ridge Boulevard, which is home to the Little Caesars and an auto and payday loan office.
On October 25, 48-year-old Reginald Lamar was fatally shot inside the Little Caesar’s after an argument with the alleged shooter, who was believed to be a close acquaintance.
On December 5, a second man was found in a car in the Little Caesars parking lot with multiple gunshot wounds. The man was declared deceased at the scene; he has not yet been publicly identified.
Thursday’s shooting represents the second and third homicides reported in Kansas City in 2025, according to data collected by The Star. At this time last year, no homicides had been reported in the city.
