UK: Thousands of petitioners demand halt to £6m ‘liveable neighbourhood trial’

Thousands of residents are demanding a £6M ‘liveable neighbourhood trial’ is stopped – as it has gridlocked the area. The traffic project has been designed to reduce rat running and promote active travel in St George, Redfield and Barton Hill in Bristol. But campaigners states that the scheme has ‘gridlocked the area, creating unsafe roads and increased pollution’.
