Vikings reward Van Ginkel with M extension

The Minnesota Vikings and outside linebacker Andrew Van Ginkel reached agreement Tuesday on a one-year, $23 million extension that includes $22.4 million guaranteed, agents Drew and Jason Rosenhaus told ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Van Ginkel had a career-best season in 2024, his first with the Vikings, finishing with 11.5 sacks, 79 tackles and two pick-sixes. He was selected to his first Pro Bowl.

Van Ginkel spent his first five seasons with the Miami Dolphins. He has 28.5 sacks in his career.
