Warwick Davis put on a brave face as he made his first red carpet appearance since the death of his wife Samantha six months ago.
The Star Wars and Harry Potter actor, 54, flashed a smile to cameras as he stepped our with his actress daughter Annabelle, 27, at the 2024 Pride of Britain Awards at Grosvenor House in London on Monday.
Davis looked smart in a navy blue velvet suit teamed with a pale blue shirt and a pair of black patent shoes for the annual event.
His wife Samantha, also an actress, died aged 53 in March.
Samantha co-founded the dwarfism charity Little People UK and featured in the final Harry Potter film, alongside Davis.
âHer passing has left a huge hole in our lives as a family. I miss her hugs,â Warwick said in the statement to the BBC.
He described âSammyâ, as he called her, as his âmost trusted confidant and an ardent supporter of everything I did in my careerâ.
Davis continued: âShe was a unique character, always seeing the sunny side of life she had a wicked sense of humour and always laughed at my bad jokes.â
The couple met on the set of George Lucasâs film Willow and married three years later in 1991.
Samantha also played a goblin in Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part 2 while her husband played both Professor Flitwick and the goblin Griphook in all eight films in the franchise.
In addition to Annabelle, they were also proud parents to son Harrison, 21.
This year marked the 25th anniversary of the Pride of Britain Awards, which instead of celebrities, honours the extraordinary achievements of ordinary people across the UK.
Hosted by Ashley Banjo and Carol Vorderman, it was well-attended by a number of famous faces.
Among them was influencer Lottie Tomlinson, the sister of singer Louis Tomlinson.
She paid a touching tribute to her siblingâs One Direction bandmate Liam Payne, following his shock death aged 31 last week by dressing in an elegant all-black ensemble.
Earlier on in the day, the pregnant star had shared a poignant message from a car window, expressing her sorrow over Liam’s passing.”
Home with a heavy heart. Rest in peace, Liam, you were loved by so many and will be so greatly missed. Sending so much love to everyone,â she penned.
