Aug. 30 (UPI) — A Los Angeles highway was backed up for miles during the morning commute after a crashed semi-truck covered the roadway in boxes of french fries.
The California Highway Patrol said the truck crashed about 3:20 a.m. on the southbound 5 Freeway, near Stadium Way, and spread dozens of boxes of fries across the roadway.
Traffic was backed up for several miles during the morning commute while crews worked to clear the freeway of spuds.
Two lanes of traffic were reopened by 11:15 a.m.
No injuries were reported.
