The U.S. National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch and warning for North Louisiana.
U.S. National Weather Service has forecasted that this winter storm will begin on Thursday, Jan. 9 at 6 a.m., and end on Friday, Jan. 10, at noon.
While the storm is expected to mainly impact the northern region of the ArkLaTex, specifically Southwest Arkansas and Northeast Texas, a winter storm warning has still been issued for the northern region of Louisiana.

According to the National Weather Service forecast, residents can expect heavy, mixed precipitation that may result in ice accumulations of up to half an inch.
The winter storm warning also details that there is a chance of snow accumulation, totaling between two and six inches of snow.
What Shreveport/Bossier schools are closed?

All extracurricular and after-school activities are canceled for Caddo and Bossier Parish Schools. As of Thursday night, all schools will be open for regular classes.

Northwest Louisiana Technical Community College (NLTCC), Mansfield, Minden & Shreveport campuses are Closed Through Friday, Jan. 10.

Word of God Academy will be closed through Friday, Jan. 10.
